We are honored to welcome you to Austin to celebrate the Golden Anniversary of our parents. Please see below for the weekend schedule.

Friday, April 17: The Anniversary Gala

Dinner, Dancing & Celebration 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM | Brodie Homestead (5211 Brodie Ln)

All guests are invited to join us at this historic limestone barn for the main event of the weekend. We can’t wait to celebrate half a century of marriage with a night of dinner and dancing!

Saturday, April 18: Hosted Guest Activities

For those staying for the weekend, we have arranged the following activities to keep the celebration going. Note: Please RSVP for these specific events via the link below.

  • 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Anniversary Brunch Jack Allen’s Kitchen (Oak Hill) A hosted morning of Texan comfort food. Requests are already in—we’ll see you there right as they open!

  • 2:00 PM: Skyline Photo Memory Longhorn Shores at Lady Bird Lake A short stroll to the brand-new Wishbone Bridge for a group photo with the Austin skyline.

  • 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM: Games & Social Hour Pins Mechanical Co. (South Congress) Join us for drinks and duckpin bowling. This is a flexible window—feel free to drop in or take a rest before the evening cruise!

  • 6:30 PM: Sunset & Bat Watching Cruise Lone Star Riverboat (Hyatt Regency Dock) Boarding starts at 6:30 PM. We have reserved a private boat for a sunset tour of Lady Bird Lake and a front-row seat to the Congress Avenue bats.

Sunday, April 19: Farewell Stroll

  • 10:00 AM: Bluebonnets at the Wildflower Center Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center A peaceful morning walk through the Texas wildflowers before we say our final goodbyes.

Weekend Logistics

  • RSVP: Since the Gala is for everyone, we just need your final headcount for the Saturday and Sunday activities by March 26th so we can finalize our venue requests.

  • Transportation: For Saturday's activities, we highly recommend using Uber or Lyft, as parking near the lake and South Congress is notoriously difficult.

  • Attire: The Friday Gala is celebratory/formal. Saturday and Sunday are casual; comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended!
